::Basecamp Iceland were very accommodating in scheduling a private tour for 6 people on a very short notice. Kommi, was helpful and provided honest advice. The tour included visiting a volcanic cave, hot springs, and we stopped at so many locations where nature is just breath taking. Our guide was professional, informative and easy going. In addition, his recommendation for a nice dinner spot was spot on. I strongly recommend Basecamp for day tours and trips while in Iceland.

::The six of us booked a day tour with Basecamp. It was an amazing experience. The tour guide is very informative as well as pleasant and funny. We did some many things in one day including visiting a volcanic cave, hot springs, and we stopped at so many locations where nature is just breath taking. Our tour guide knew where to take us! He dropped us at the blue lagoon and waited for us while we took our time. He was very patient and he even helped us book a restaurant we wanted to go to on our last night there. I definitely recommend Basecamp for day tours and trips while in Iceland.

::Iceland is such a different place and the volcano experience is one you must have. Ours started with two 1/2 hr movies at the Volcano house that show the geology and the power of volcanic eruptions. Then our guide, Eric, picked us up in a Land Rover and drove us to the "Peninsula" a rather recent land addition to Iceland. You can see the barren landscape when you go from the airport to Reykjavik. Eric explained why it was like this. The most memorable parts of the tour were the fumarole (a place where gases and heated water make their way to the surface) and the lava tube. The lava tube is a long cave under the ground that forms when the lava solidifies. Take the tour to find out how that happens. Eric brought helmets and headlamps and carefully guided us. Lots to learn and be amazed by. And Eric also answered lots of our tourist questions about Iceland and Icelanders as we were driving. Dropped us in front of the hotel. Highly recommended.
