::This monument consists of a small open park on a city lot. It is at the NE corner of Amtmannsstígur and ƥingholtsstræti Streets. According to Wikipedia, Bríet Bjarnhéðinsdottir (1856-1940) was an early proponent of female suffrage and liberation in Iceland. She was elected to the city council several times.
