  SCAM BUSINESS ON ICELAND - OLD AND DANGEROUS CARS DO NOT USE THIS SCAM BUSINESS The car I rented broke down and I did't get any help. I had to leave some of my camping gear in the car. Green Motion dont reply to any of my demands of compensation and won't give me back my camping gear!

  We also had an older car. 14 years old Nissan Patrol. More than 200.000km so power was already less. Smells when started and sometimes when you put your window open. Because of older car I would not recommend. We asked for a Toyoya Land Cruiser. But he was not available because of brake problems they told us. I was not very happy with that. The car had lost already power because of oldness. But in 4x4L it was certainly ok to cross the rivers. We did not have any problems except of a indicator for oil pressure (3 times same problem). We stopped the car immediately and started again 5 minutes later and it was ok again. Tires were good, New enough and big. Had not any problem with tires except of tire pressure once (we pumped them up at a gas station and everything was ok). Personal was ok. They pick you up at and bring you back to the airport. 15 minutes drive to company. Calculate some waiting time. For us it was 15 minutes. We had to call them because our flight was delayed. The price was less than €3000 all in (we took all possible insurances). Rather cheap I assume. We made a mistake with the reservation. We asked by accident 2 times all the insurances. The price was therefore first €3600. But they told us about our mistakes and gave us the right price which was very honest! We had to pay with visa in euro?? In ISK was not possible. Paying in ISK is mostly cheaper for us because of a better exchange rate with visa.

  This place was a shake down. Though we had already paid $800 online, we were confronted with fee after fee before we could obtain the vehicle. At this point, with three kids after a red-eye, we were in no position to negotiate. The trunk was so small we had to come back for a bag. They charged us $55 (!) to hold one bag for the hour it took for us to drop our stuff in Reykjavik and come back for the bag. Then they tried to force an upgrade to a larger vehicle! They staff was almost an hour late to the airport. Overall this was a very poor start to our holiday.

  Accueil sympa et très arrangeant si vous ramenez la voiture avec quelque heures de retard !

  I booked a diesel car but received a petrol car. The fuel costs were approx twice for the petrol car as it would have been with the diesel, all according to their own information. I tried to get compensated for that, but they refused to discuss it and did not answer my e-mails. Don't hire a car from them
