  one of the many amazing places to visit while in the south of iceland. this is a geological wonder. the boiling mud bubbling away. the colours in the rocks are a photographers dream. the acrid smell is a little overpowering if the winds blowing at you. and the views are fantastic if you walk up the hill.

  Thermal muddy pool that emits a strong sulfuric steam. Uncomfortable odour emits from the ground. If you are sensitive to smell this might not be a good place for you to visit.

  Superbe ! Le cadre géothermique est très impressionnant. Le site est assez petit mais il en vaut tout de même le détour, surtout pour les couleurs des roches. Il est possible de s'arrêter pour un pic-nic. Il y a des toilettes au parking.

  温泉が湧き出している地獄谷のような風景を見学できます。入浴施設はありません。私たちは2016年1月に行きました。道路はほぼ除雪されていてきれいでしたが、交通量が少ないので４WDで訪れるのが安心だと思います。 ２０１８年１月１日に再訪しました。この時も道路はきれいに除雪されていましたし、訪れる人も半時間ほどの間に数組ありましたので、昼間に訪問するのなら単独行動でも大丈夫だと思います。ただし前日に南部海岸の往復で通った時には復路夕方にこの辺りで雪に降られて4WDでも徐行しなくてはならなかったので、天気予報はよく確認して無理をしない方が良いと思います。
