  This charity does not consider people as important, their own afflictions! If someone goes into psychiatry, someone with suicide bands will give him a date in a week or so. Who is responsible for the death of a patient who is helping? A doctor is responsible for human life! This is a medical oath! That's why there are so many suicides in Scandinavian countries!

  I been to Iceland for a holiday I had an accident on ice and broken my hand the staff was very nice and do everything that I need they spoke English very well they gave me the cd of x- rays I want to thanks them for what done for me

  Excellent care - can be a little slow if they are busy, but what hospital isn't? Bedside manner was impressive, and they even arranged a taxi for travel home. I would definitely come back here, but I'd prefer to do so as a visitor next time!

  I was a tourist from the USA visiting Iceland when I had an accident and broke my ankle on February 28, 2017. I was taken by ambulance to the Landspitali hospital and was treated for a broken tibia and fibula. I was concerned being in a foreign country; however, everything turned out for the best and I would like to thank the staff of the hospital for the thorough and prompt treatment of my injury. The staff was very attentive, spoke perfect English and explained the situation throughout the process. My foot was reset and a soft cast was put on to enable me to travel home the next day. Upon visiting my surgeon in Florida, USA, he was very complimentary of the work done by the folks in Iceland. He said the reduction of the ankle was very well done, the cast was done perfectly and we all appreciated the CD with the X-rays and the medical report provided. All in all I felt very good about the treatment in Iceland and felt it was as good as if I was in my home country. Thanks to the staff that treated me so well. I have now had my surgery and am on the road to a full recovery. My only suggestion, and it has nothing to do with the hospital, would be for the city of Reykjavik to do a better job of cleaning the streets after a major storm so as to avoid such injuries in the future.
