  Worthless, got better advice from the Iceland northern lights Facebook group. Our guide insisted that since customers using a 30 second exposure were getting green hues we would not be getting a refund. Rent a car and you will have better luck.

  I don't understand the low rating... Some misadventures may occur, but RE made my trip to Iceland great; the excursions (golden circle + south shore) as well the shuttle/pick up to the airport. I can highly suggest.

  We initially booked just the Shuttle bus from the airport and booked our tours through a competitor. Our experience to start was shocking to say the least, the driver took us to the wrong hotel, when i questioned this and explained we was more or less the wrong side of Reykjavik the driver told me to catch a cab as he was going no where near where i wanted to go and his job was to take me there and now that we were here we were no longer his problem. I immediately emailed the company to explain my disbelief and to explain i would like some form of reimbursement for the extra cost incurred by having to get a cab to the hotel. I got a very quick response with a massive apology, they offered a full refund, arranged a private shuttle back to the airport on our return journey and to to our delight gave us a free Northern Lights tour. So despite the horrendous start they really pulled it out of the bag and I would happily recommend them to anyone who is looking to book a tour in Iceland

  Don't waste your time booking with this company. Select a personalized company that offers a small group and is in the business of providing great customer service. I booked the northern lights tour, and was provided a confirmed voucher stating pickup in front of my hotel or bus stop terminal 10. I waited an hour in front of my hotel and no one ever showed up. I called the local number provided and the line was busy the entire time. No one ever called or sent an email to ensure that I was picked up or available. When I reached out to the company to request a refund the blamed it on my and stated that I "probably" wasn't at bus stop 7......at no time was bus stop ever mentioned or documented on the voucher. It appears that this company only cares about money and not the true customer experience. Very disappointed that they basically took my money and don't care. Again, don't waste your time with this company.

  We used Reykjavik excursions for the airport pick up and drop off, the golden circle and the northern lights tours. On every occasion they were on time, well organised, friendly and helpful. We even had a 3am pick up from our hotel for the hotel drop off and they reliably followed through with the service. We didn't see the northern lights unfortunately but this was not for lack of trying on their end. Many of the negative trip advisor reviews are actually about the grey line which is often confused with Reykjavik excursions. My recommendations though: Always call and confirm your bookings even if they are confirmed online. Also, if you really want to see the northern lights, stay for at least 5 days and book the tour for your first night. They'll let you redo the your until you see them and you're likely to do so if you have more than 3 days.
