::Booking with Sixt for my trip to Iceland was a no-brainer because of the amazing price I was quoted. Upon pick up, I was surprised at the very nice rental office and lovely, modern car I was given. I thought to myself: "This is too good to be true". And I was right. We toured Iceland for two days. The car did not touch, scratch or bump a single thing. That's why when we returned the car, we assumed we'd be able to simply drop it off and be on our merry way. OH NO. We were charged for scratches that were invisible unless looked at from a distance of 2 inches. We insisted that we could not see any damages to the car. The employee told us we were looking from too far away (3 feet). My eyes rolled so far into the back of my head. The employee then told me he would wash the car so we can get a better look. That didn't help but considering we had a flight to catch we didn't have all day to argue. We were told we'd have to pay 500 euros for damages barely visible to the naked eye. That's not all. When we refused to pay a ridiculous 500 euros, they started negotiating with us! As we were pressed for time, we ended up paying $200 USD. In the end, this car rental cost us what any other company would have charged us but without the headache. I guess that's how they make their money back from their cheap rental prices!!! As an avid traveler and social media travel content creator, I can say that I have NEVER, EVER had such a poor experience renting a car. I will NEVER give my business to these thieves ever again and would urge anyone to spend their money elsewhere.

::This "location" is only a phone that doesn't work. Took an expensive cab out to this location and ended up stranded for hours, until some helpful locals sorted us out.

::sixt makes good money with customers losing license plates. bring your own screws if you choose sixt. worst customer support (local and afterwards per mail).

::Absolutely amazing. 'Asa helped me with both check in and check out and was so incredibly kind and helpful. I was offered a ride back to my hostel and the driver was just a pleasant. Highly recommend renting from them.
