  Great local spot. We went on a Saturday evening and it was busy but not crowded. There is a large pool with lanes and then a few different hot (and even a cold) tub for soaking. Cost $10/person, free locking lockers to place your belongings, and showers for entering and exiting the pool. Awesome experience!

  A great outdoor pool. An amazing place. A public geothermal outside swimming bath. Different areas are hotter or cooler. Good changing rooms and shower. Very much a place for locals, there were very few (obvious) tourists. Staff very friendly. It was amazing to sit in a 40 degree bath, outside 5 degrees and rainy and windy. I'd love to visit again. Cheaper than the blue lagoon!

  This was a wonderful addition to our trip to Iceland. Our Northern Lights Tour had been cancelled so we thought to take a walk and try out the public pools. The walk there was fine, and we were welcomed and were very pleased with the price of entry. We enjoyed the different temperatures of the pools and it was nice to feel like had stepped slightly outside the 'standard tourist activity' of a trip to Iceland. Highly recommend an evening here.

  We didn't manage to get to the blue lagoon as it was fully booked, so we went to this place as a substitute. Going in February, to an outside pool was very enlightening, seeing all the locals calmly walking from pool to hot tub, then to the freezing cold plunge pool.... Compared to us who were making very fast headway to the warmest hot tub. Respect the place, no pictures, and always shower before entering the pool area.

  Love this traditional local outdoor thermally heated baths. Has a 5 lane pool, kids play pool (connected to the lane pool).There's 3 large interconnected social spa baths of differing temperatures, a cold splash pool and two hot jacuzzi pools. Also has the naturally heated steam room next to the pools. Indoors there's a small gym area and single sex saunas. The rising heat from the water keeps the air warm so don't worry if it's winter! Give it a try - it's a fraction of the price of that tourist trap further down the peninsula! And a lot easier to get to from Reykjavik :)
