  Located about 3km from the town center, the Akureyri airport, with only the one runway, is very small for an international airport but is really a pleasant surprise. It's well organised and the bistro in the passenger terminal offers food, snacks and drinks at relatively inexpensive prices. Duty free shopping wasn't that exciting.

  it was the cutest little airport in the world food and drinks very cheap

  Cutest airport in the world. Although a beer in like 10 euros!!!
