::We visited March 2018 and completed 18.3 in the open gym which was free to use. Everyone we spoke to was lovely - they let us borrow equipment, helped us set up our own music and use the clock and score sheets. The members were super welcoming and we spoke at length to about 3 or 4 of them. And then to top it off our car got stuck in the snow in the car park and they came outside to help us push it to the road!! Really don't understand why someone gave this place a bad review. Definitely visit if you're in the area :) Thanks guys at CF Akureryi for helping us out.

::Not a friendly place for a drop in visit. Don't expect the same level of coaching that you would get in the US. The coach hardly bothered to give any English instruction - after writing and explaining the WOD in Icelandic, he simply asked me, "any questions?" I also dropped in on Saturday where they were doing a complicated partner WOD with 12 movements and the coach decided he would pair me with an out of shape female beginner. I'm not a games athlete, , but as 30 year-old male who has been doing crossfit for years I've graduated from doing wall balls with a 6 lb ball. Neither the coaches nor the members were friendly or welcoming. No introduction or welcome by the coaches, none of the regulars said a word to me. Though on the whole, I found Icelandic people not to be particularly friendly. To boot, they didn't even have any T-shirts for sale.
