::Geitafoss, the smaller waterfall further downstream of the well known Goðafoss. It is nearer to the main road, accessible via the footbridge next to the souvenir shop/gas stations. From the footbridge, you'll get a frontier view of the falls. Though it is not as great as Goðafoss, it is still a beautiful waterfall by itself.

::Nicht so berühmt und nicht so spektakulär wie der Goðafoss: der Geitafoss, der "kleine Bruder" vom Goðafoss! Höhe 5 Meter, Breite etwa 17 Meter. Wer vom Goðafoss-Parkplatz am Fossholl-Guesthouse zu anderen Seite des Flusses Skjálfandafljót geht, kommt automatisch am Geitafoss vorbei. Es lohnt sich, auch diesen Fall zu beachten. Da hier der Canyon sich etwas verengt strömt das Wasser mit relativ hoher Geschwindigkeit hindurch (abhängig von der Wasserstand des Skjálfandafljót).
