::Great apartment and excellent service by the owner.

::Great little complex in the heart of Reykjavik. One block off the main stretch of shopping and resturaunts, but tucked away in a quiet nook. Stayed with my brother and sister while we did a 2-day layover to see what Reykjavik had to offer. Furnishings were plain but nice, a combo-twin (i.e. you can push the mattresses together for a queen) and a pull-out sofa easily fit the three of us. Included sink, stove, microwave, and a smattering of plates/cups/utensils. TV (icelandic & british) & Wifi as well. Keys are picked up from the laundry room (they'll send you a code to get into the laundry room) and dropped off in the same spot upon departure (we never actually interacted with any people). Happy with our experience.

::Ok apartment to stay in, tough to find - amazing race style means of figuring out how to get your key. Nice enough place inside. They'll be in at 10am if thats when your checkout is, so be prompt.

::Awesome place. The location is tough to beat, just a block away from Laugavegur, which is one of the the main shopping, restaurant, and nightlife streets in downtown Reykjavik. The rooms are clean, modern, well-furnished, and spacious (I stayed in two separate 1-bedroom apartments, but they easily accommodated three, since the bed could be split in two, and the couch comfortably slept another). The bathroom shower was a bit tricky to figure out, until I noticed the sign with instructions. The kitchens in the rooms look serviceable for anyone who cares to use them, even though we didn't. The owner was great, really flexible and helpful, if seemingly a bit busy or brusque. He was able to switch around reservations to accommodate us while our schedule was in flux, and left keys for us to pick up when we couldn't predict our check-in time. He even helped us when we called way, way late at night when scheduling our airport pick-up for the next day. All-around great guy. Can't go wrong with this place.
