  It's a boarding school which is called a hotel in summer. It should be called a boarding school so guests know what to expect. The surrounds are unkept with weeds overgrowing and taking over the steps and entrance to the lodgings. The carpet in the building on the hill where we stayed is filthy. The door was broken. No kettle in the room. Despite all this, we slept well (partly because we were simply exhausted after Lake Myvatn). Breakfast was good. Not great though. For the price they charge, one definitely expects a bit, well, cleaner for a start.
