::A Nice place to have a stop and a 30 minute hike inside a volcano caldera. No, it's not very big, but that's maybe the best thing about it: you don't have to spend half-a-day to get there, but it's still a very photogenic site especially if you have a possibility to shoot panoramas. We were supposed to stop at the waterfall nearby on our way back to Reykjavik, but it was the middle of the night then so we missed it, This was a prove of the fact we learned: In Iceland you should stop on these sites everytime the conditions are suitable, because next time you're there you night not have a chance to see it.

::Nice crater. Not the most impressive nor biggest one in Iceland, but easily accessible and a good showcase.

::Ein typischer Vulkankegel in mitten grün und grau überwachsener Lavafelder. Ein eigenttümlicher Anblick. Dank der gut ausgebauten Wege auf und rund um den Kegel immer eine kleine Wanderung wert, jedenfalls zwischen den Tagestouristengruppen die hier mit Cars und Bussen angekarrt werden damit sie kurz eine Stunde die Landschaft verunstalten können.
