::Landmark. Statue on a hill
Fred Finney
::This bronze statue on a stone pedestal is a monument to the ca. AD 870 first permanent settlers of Iceland. It depicts Ingólfur Arnarson who is listed in the Book of Settlements as the first leader.
James Akehurst
::The statue is located on the top of a small hill (which some less able people may struggle to climb). From the top you can see a lovely view view of the concert hall, the harbour, part of the city centre, and hills in the distance. The statue is as you would expect, just a statue. A short walk south will take you to Bankastræti, which makes up part of the city centre. The statue is covered on many of the free walking tours, which are worth joining in with.

::Nice little grass knoll overlooking the port. Lovely to get away from it all, just for a little while.
Alain Perkaz
::Pretty statue on a place with good views of all the bay.
