::This is a place that should be avoided. Lousy attitude and poor service. I would rate it a -5 if I could. We stopped in for a coffee at the museum restaurant (located in the museum). We were "greated" by someone shouting to us from a dark interior asking us what we wanted. First clue we should have departed. The owner was seated in his chair. To our disbelief he actually stated that he was too lazy to get up and serve us coffee because everyone likes their coffee different. He pointed at a table with a thermos and cups. There was a woman dressed in cammo who turned and she went into the back. There was no menu. More clues we should have left. The ladies in our group said they felt very "uncomfortable" and went outside to wait in the car. I stayed. The coffee was stale and luke warm so it didn't take long for me to finish. He charged 800isk for a thimble size cup. This is a complete rip-off even for Iceland's expensive standards. Still hungry, we continued down the road towards the deildartunguhver geothermal pools. After about a half hour drive we stopped in at the Hverinn restaurant where we had delicious, refillable bowls of the home-made soup of the day and endless coffee for 1600isk. At the Hverinn restaurant the owner was attentive, caring and engaging.
