I had a really interesting visit. Klaus that works here has great knowledge of the museum. A friendly and helpful staff member. Throughly recommend

Incontournable avec les deux autres sites du Art Museum... Une occasion aussi d'aller ailleurs que sur les sentiers touristiques... Cet artiste et son travail comme son attitude vis à vis de son époque sont à découvrir dans son habitat singulier.

Lovely sculpture garden (free) and nice museum. I must say that I liked his earlier works better than the later stuff. The building that the artist build himself is very charming as well. Free entrance to museum with reykjavik card

I don't usually get too excited about sculptors but Asmundur is above and beyond. First of all the museum is in the house that he designed and mostly built by himself. It alone is beautiful. But then there are the sculptures. He started out in wood carving. The chair is beautiful. Then he took off! I also don't get very excited about modern sculpting, but I was mesmerized in the room where his modern pieces are. I have enjoyed my visits to Iceland but this visit was special because of this museum.

If you like art, this museum is a must while in Reykjavik, it has sculptures inside and outside and they are so beautiful. When you step inside there is just something about this place, the building which hosts the museum is beautiful as well and I could look at it for hours. There is a small shop if you want to buy something to take home with you.
