::We found this overlook on our last day in Iceland, after a long drive along the south shore. This might be the most dramatic vantage point of our two week stay. The elevation above the lake and the snow covered mountains to the east and the black sand shoreline make this a must see. Also a very short drive from downtown (35 minutes).
