::One of the true highlights of my trip to Iceland was the whale watching tour we took with Whale Watching Hauganes. The staff are very knowledgeable, and set expectations on what might be seen in the water on that day. Not only did we see a Humpback, but the boat's expert captain took us in so close that it was breathtaking, and we got the chance to try some fishing at the end of the trip. There is also homemade treats and coffee throughout the boat journey. Highly highly highly recommended for anyone.

::The boat is not fast enough to approach whales on time but I think this is proper way to approach whales but not to scare them. In addition, captain and guide are nice and good at searching whales and we saw almost 20 whales. We also got excellent cods as our dinner, the tour is highly recommend.

::We toured the whole country, and this was really one of the best things we did. The boats are not too big, and our learned guide was great at explaining the different kinds of whales, how to recognize them, and when to see them. They provided us with overalls for warmth, flotation (in case), and water protection, and we even got to fish for a while at the end of the trip. Not only did we all catch some cod, but the captain gutted them and gave them to us to take home and eat. There was even coffee and home-made pastries served on the boat (included). Well worth it!
