::Delicious breads at prices competitive with artisanal bakeries in the US. I tried 4 bread rolls all delicious. Seasame, poppy seed, cranberry and curry, spice. All delicious. My friend got some macarons that were stale but tasted good.. The rest of the deserts looked good but you may want to check for freshness. All of the breads were fresh. The seasame roll tasted like bagele in Israel or Koluri in Greece. Different shape, but as uniquely fantastic.

::Til hamingju með köku ársins 2018.

::This was really good bread! The storefront/cafe section is fairly small (seats ~7/8) because most of the space is used for the actual bakery. The resulting product certainly benefits from this allocation of resources. The cafe bit has a decent view of the mountains across the bay but there is the highway in between.

::We found this place by accident while visiting the Sun Voyager. This old bakery is just a cross the street on the corner of Klapparstigur and Skulagata. Bernhoftsbakari is both the oldest bakery and also the oldest Company in Iceland. They are world famous for their chocolate dipped and butter cream stuffed Florentine’s. They are also extremely famous in Iceland for their Bread buns that cost only 80 kr. They also make a lot of German breads and Cakes.
