  Better not show up late for check-in or you won't have a place to sleep. We had booked a stay here last weekend. Apparently they have a very strict check-in time window from 4-8. Unfortunately we had some car trouble due to inclement weather and weren't able to get there during this time frame. We also didn't have wifi or phone service since we were only in Iceland for a few days, so we didn't have a way to contact the property manager. When we arrived at the homestay the door was locked and it was dark. We knocked and rang the doorbell quite a few times but no one answered. There was a number on the door to call, and so we knocked on some neighbors' doors until one of them let us use their phone. The property owner never answered their phone. Luckily the kind souls who let us use their phone were angels and let us stay with them that night. I'm sure it's a great little place to stay but we never found out...

  Not a hotel. You stay in Johanna's home. Enjoyed the welcome, my room, location.
