::It's a perfect spot to get sorted out and spend a night. We headed here from Reykjavik in a camper we rented for a couple weeks. The location is great and it has what you need. For us in early September there weren't many people until later in the day. If you get here early you have it to yourself. There is some nice walking trails close by and the scenery is beautiful.

::A great place to stay. Very clean and has a fair amount of bathrooms/showers. The only thing is they close at 6 so if you miss them when they are open, someone later in the evening will knock on your camper to pay.

::Nice location, but quite crowded in summer. They only have 2 showers and 3 toilets for the main site. That means a lot of queuing at rush hour. They do have a sheltered area with benches. And nice grassy sites.
